Wide zoom range in a compact body

The lens optics (15 elements in 12 groups) provide uncompromising high-quality images over a broad zoom range despite the compact configuration.

High-resolution optics

Lens elements including four AA (advanced aspherical) lenses and two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements work together to achieve superb resolution right out to the periphery of the image, throughout the telephoto range.

Large aperture

Large apertures across the zoom range enable rapid shutter speeds and large amounts of bokeh. Even in the mid-telephoto range, the camera maintains apertures of F4 at 100 mm² and F4.5 at 200 mm².
