ZTE took the Wraps off the ZTE MAX XL, a budget Smartphone

Last year, ZTE released its impressive budgeted smartphone Zmax Pro. This handset comes with high-end performance and solid features. The highlight of this phone is that it does not break the bank. This year, ZTE is back again with a new budgeted smartphone, Max XL. The most notable upgrades of this handset are the updated Android Software and the affordable price of $130, and it is on sale for $28 off at Boost Mobile. ZTE Max XL Design

The 6-inch screen on the Max XL is an IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixel, and is covered in Gorilla Glass 3 which should offer some solid scratch protection. Inside, the smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, at the moment it is rare when purchasing a new phone.

This handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 octa-core processor that has a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of on-board storage, along with a microSD card slot that can accept up to 128 GB of additional storage.

The Max XL doesn’t skimp in other areas. There is a 13MP and 5MP rear and front camera, respectively, and a fingerprint sensor. Rounding out the internals are a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.0, an FM radio, and GPS. And it ships with running Android 7.0 Nougat, the newest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

The ZTE MAX XL is available on Boost Mobile at $130, and it has support for Sprint’s HPUE LTE technology . That means faster data and better coverage. A version of the ZTE MAX XL will come to Sprint itself, and Virgin Mobile soon.
